2026 Hume Galleries Expression of Interest

The Hume Galleries Annual Exhibition Program creates opportunities for artists and community groups to showcase their work in our dedicated gallery spaces, with support from the Arts and Culture team.

You can only submit one Expression of Interest.

Before completing this application you must read:

Please have all your supporting documents ready, such as:

  • Current artist CV (up to two pages) detailing all relevant education, exhibitions, awards and publications.
  • Artistic support material 
    • Up to 10 images of relevant, recent artwork. This can be provided as a single URL, or as images attached to the online application form, and/or 
    • Up to 10 minutes of video. This must be provided as a single URL. 

Regularly save your application by clicking the 'Save Progress' button which appears at the top of your screen.

File Upload allows applicants to upload one or more file attachments in their application.  The recommended size of a file is no larger than 5MB.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND/OR APPLICATIONS NOT SUBMITTED BY THE CLOSING DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Eligibility Checklist

This program is open to:

  • Artists living in Hume City.  
  • Hume-based community groups, including heritage groups who want to share local stories in creative ways. 
  • Artists from outside Hume who can show a strong connection to our community or propose projects that actively involve local people in shaping the cultural life of Hume.

Staff and Councillors of Hume City Council are not permitted to apply, either as individuals or as part of a group/organisation. Relatives of a staff or Councillor may be eligible. Officers will check your relationship for conflict of interest.
