Welcome to Hume City Council's online funding application for the 2027 Community Connection Grant


Hume City Council’s Community Connection Grant supports local groups and organisations to strengthen participation, connection and wellbeing in Hume. Funding can be used for essential running costs, regular activities and skill‑building that help communities stay active, inclusive and connected.

If successful, funds are available to be spent between 1 January 2027 - 31 December 2027, for up to $4,000.

You can only submit ONE application for this round, please select your category carefully.

Before You Begin

1. Read the 2027 Community Grants Guidelines before you begin and make sure you understand if you are eligible and what will and will not be funded.
2.You must have satisfactorily acquitted previous grants funded under Hume City Council's Grants programs to be eligible for this grant. Please complete any overdue Final Reports (acquittals) before applying.

Please have all your supporting documents ready such as

  • Bank Statement (in the group's/organisation’s name)
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Current Certificate of Currency - Public Liability Insurance
  • Quotes for items you intend to purchase (essential for any equipment purchases)

Grant Writing Workshops

Our organisation has current Public Liability Insurance - OR - We are a first time applicant * Required
If you are a first-time applicant you do not need to have PLI yet. However, your funding application will need to include purchase of PLI and you will need to provide the certificate and receipt of payment with your Final Report.
Is your organisation clear of any outstanding Final Report (acquittals) grants with Council? * Required
Is your organisation clear of any outstanding debts to Council? * Required
Will your proposed activity provide community benefit to residents in Hume City * Required
Our organisation has a genuine need for financial support from Hume City Council * Required
Our activity does not include alcohol licenses, tobacco, gambling related activities or activities at gambling venues * Required
Council cannot fund any activities (i.e. lunches, dinners or any activities) at venues such as clubs or RSLs that have pokie machines.
