Welcome to Hume City Council's 2026 Community Operational Grant - Round 2

Community Operational Grants are six month grants with funding available up to $1,500 for activities 1 July - 31 December 2026.
These grants support the day-to-day operational activities of community groups who help improve health, wellbeing and connection in the community.

Please note: if you already received a 2026 annual grant, you cannot apply in this round.

You can only submit ONE application in  Round 2, please select your category carefully.

Before completing this application you must read:

Please have all your supporting documents ready such as

  • Bank Statement (in your organisation's or community group's name)
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Current Certificate of Public Liability Insurance
  • Quotes for items you intend to purchase (i.e. Bus Hire or small equipment)

Regularly save your application by clicking the 'Save Progress' button which appears at the top of your screen.

File Upload allows applicants to upload one or more file attachments in their application.  The recommended size of a file must be no bigger than 5mb.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND/OR APPLICATIONS NOT SUBMITTED BY THE CLOSING DATE CANNOT BE CONSIDERED.

Grants Information Session

For an overview of the grant application process and to discuss your project idea, it's recommended you attend a Grant Information Session.
Sessions are being offered between 4 and 10 February 2026. For further information about session dates and times go to Council's website.

Our organisation has a genuine need for financial support from Hume City Council * Required
Our activity does not include alcohol licenses, tobacco, gambling related activities and activities at gambling venues * Required
I confirm that our community group/organisation has not received an Annual Community Grant in 2026. * Required
'Yes' to confirm you have not received a grant. 'No' if you have received a grant. You may not be eligible if you have already received a 2026 Annual Community Grant

Stop. You have answered NO to the above you are NOT ELIGIBLE for this grant. (Not Applicable)
