The project application process is supported by the Hume Enviro Champions two-day Introductory Course in February 2025 and eight Masterclass sessions held from March to November. A schedule of Masterclass sessions will be made available on the Hume Enviro Champions page in February 2025. 

Applications must be completed, including an attached project plan before the initial review will commence. 

Please complete the application form below to have your community based, environmental or sustainability themed project reviewed by Council.

After the Environmental Community Development Officer receives your email confirming a completed submission has been made, the initial review of the application will take approximately two weeks. An outline of the project approval process can be found at the end of this form and in the program guideline.

To be eligible the applicant must currently live, work, study or volunteer in the Hume municipality.

The applicant can submit one project application at a time.

Proof of eligibility can be:

Live in Hume.

• Victorian drivers licence
• rates notice
• other form of proof of address (utility bill)

Work in Hume.

• Letter from employer with name of company, contact email or phone number

Study in Hume.

• Letter from school or training provider with name of school or training provider, contact email or phone number

Volunteer in Hume.

• Letter from volunteer organisation with name of organisation, contact email or phone number
• Contact details for referee of volunteer activities undertaken in Hume

You are ineligible to apply for the 2025 Hume Enviro Champions program. Please refer to the information above.
